How soon for delivery?
Delivery is normally within 7 working days for stock items, but this can change during peak season. The Lead time on manufactured items and garden buildings varies dependant on demand. Please call us on 01904 491115 or email us for current lead times on deliveries.
When are deliveries made?
Deliveries are made between 8.00am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday.
How is delivery arranged?
A member of our transport team will contact you once you have placed your order to arrange a mutually convenient delivery date.
Can I collect my order?
Yes - your order can be collected from On The Fence between normal opening hours. We also operate a next day collection service. Our staff will pick and prepare your order ready for a speedy collection from our dedicated collections area the next day. The collections area is handily located next to our carpark too, perfect for the busy tradesman or keen DIY enthusiast who just wants to get cracked on!
Need a last minute collection?
That’s fine, if you’re coming in for some last minute bits then its always worth a call first so we can try and plan for your arrival and check stock. Please remember to park in the car park until we are ready to bring your order to the collection point or bring you into the yard for loading.
The main yard is now closed off for safety reasons. We kindly request that you do not drive into the main yard area until instructed to do so. Again, in the interests of safety, please do not go into the main yard area as a pedestrian without a member of staff.
Delivery Charges
Our delivery charges are based on the mileage from York , YO32 5TJ.
We use a combination of 3.5t LWB vans and trailers for delivery. Please make us aware of any access restrictions when ordering.
The maximum weight we can deliver per load is 1200kg (1.2 tonnes). Please contact us if your order is likely to be larger than this to obtain a personalised quotation.
